Ivan Alexandrovich

Practice area

Other matters, case by case.

Beyond its named practice areas, the firm accepts other general-practice work selectively — case by case, at the firm’s discretion. The only way to know whether the firm will take your matter is to ask. The initial consultation is $300 for one full hour (credited toward the engagement if we proceed), and it ends with a clear answer: a written quote, or a candid referral elsewhere.

Why there is no list on this page

A published list of everything a firm might take is usually a marketing document rather than an honest one. This practice is deliberately narrow, and the areas it names are areas Ivan works in continuously rather than occasionally.

That leaves a real category of matters that fall outside those areas and are still a sensible fit — because of the subject, the posture, or simply because the work is adjacent to something the firm already does well. Those are taken one at a time, on their merits.

How to find out

Book the consultation and describe the matter. One full hour of attorney time, $300, credited toward the engagement if we go forward. You leave with either a written quote or a referral to someone better placed to help — and if the honest answer is that you do not need a lawyer at all, you will be told that too.

The firm’s standing practice areas are estate planning and trust administration, probate, trademarks, copyright, patent litigation, contracts, and prenuptial agreements. If your matter is one of those, start on that page instead.

Common questions

Other matters

What kinds of matters do you take?

There is no list, and that is the point. Some matters fit this practice and some do not, and the assessment is specific to what you bring.

What happens if you cannot take it?

You are told at the consultation rather than weeks later, and where possible you are referred to someone who can. That is part of what the hour is for.

Is the consultation fee credited?

Yes. If we proceed, the full $300 is credited toward the engagement.

Talk it through with an attorney.

A one-hour consultation by video — $300, credited in full toward your flat fee if you move forward. You leave knowing what you need and what it costs.
